Tips That Will Help You Get Started With Photoshop CS6

Recently, Photoshop CS6 has been released, along with a Photoshop CS6 Extended version, as well. Of course, Photoshop is one of the best, if not the best, graphics program to ever hit the market. So, needless to say, a lot of people were really excited about the release. Also, what makes people even more excited is the fact that you can download a free 30-day trial of the program. If you are getting the trial, you don’t want to spend a whole lot of time trying to learn the program, so I’m going to give you some tips that should get you started up fairly quickly.

First of all, if you are going to upgrade to the full version of Photoshop CS6, you should uninstall the beta. There was over one million people that downloaded the beta of Photoshop CS6 and if you were one of them, it’s time to move on to the full version. It is a requirement that you have to uninstall the beta version of the program before you are able to install the final release or any other apps that utilize the creative cloud.

Next, you should begin to install and activate your copy of Photoshop CS6. As you begin to install your copy of Photoshop CS6, you will be asked to be connected to the internet and activate your software with your Adobe ID. With your Adobe ID, you will never lose your serial # again, because it will be associated with your Adobe ID. Also, having an Adobe ID will also protect you from downloading and installing software that is not genuine Adobe software.

If you want to get some camera support from Adobe Photoshop CS6, you can download Adobe Camera Raw 7.1 in order to get the support you require. That way, your camera will be compatible and supported with Adobe Photoshop CS6. There are way too many camera makes and models supported, so I’m unable to list them here, but you shouldn’t have a problem when you connect your camera to your computer, as long as you download Adobe Camera Raw 7.1.

Lastly, I would highly suggest taking advantage of Adobe and their learning resources that they have set up for users. This is a great way to get into Photoshop and even become an advanced user. With all that information they provide at your disposal, you will surely fall in love with the new version of Photoshop and all of it’s features.
